Starting with an orange-fuchsia-yellow field, ending with blue-yellow-pink skies , separated by green-yellow olive trees. Complement to "Starry Night", this particular version of van Gogh's "The Olive Trees", among about 150 other paintings during his time in Province, had special meaning, as did the many olive tree paintings he completed in that same time-frame. Depending on the period, they represented life, the divine, cycle of life and the relationship and connection between man and divine through nature.
