Voodoo Juice Recipe

You know what today is! While no one really knows when or why Friday The 13th originated it is said to be because the number 13 and Friday are both considered unlucky so the two of them combined is a big bowl of bad luck and spooky vibes. Me though, I love anything spooky which is why I was drawn to our candle Voodoo Juice...I had to smell it! And woo girl! Let me tell you, when I did I fell IN LOVE. It is divine, but it also got me thinking, what is voodoo juice?

So I hop on Google and find the perfect voodoo juice recipe that I just have to share with you…

What You Will Need….

  • ½ oz Coconut Rum
  • ½ oz Banana Rum
  • ½ oz Mango Rum
  • ½ Pineapple Rum
  • ½ oz Orange juice
  • ½ oz Cranberry Juice
  • 1 oz Pineapple Juice
  • ½ oz Spiced Rum
  • Orange (sliced)
  • Maraschino Cherries

1. Fill a glass with ice then add liquors and mixers.

2. Float on a layer of spiced rum and garnish with an orange slice and cherry.

“Unlucky 13” : The superstition comes from the bible, Judas (who betrayed Jesus) was the 13th person to sit down at the table at The Last Supper.

“Unlucky Friday” : For hundreds of years, Friday has been considered the unluckiest day of the week (psshh.. I beg to differ). In Geoffrey Chaucer's famous Canterbury Tales, written in the 14th Century, he says "and on a Friday fell all the mischance".  Also, in Britain Friday was also known as Hangman’s Day because it is usually when the people who had been condemned would be hanged.

Celebrate Friday The 13th with a scary movie, some popcorn and this cocktail all while enjoying the captivating aroma of a 26 oz Voodoo Juice Candleberry Scented Candle. It is a spicy, tart, very berry fragrance that is wildly popular during the fall when it's only in season for one month in the main Candleberry line. It is one of our more powerful scents and is sure to fill your entire house. Trust me when I say, you do not want to miss out!
