Small Summer Gatherings with family & friends, make summer so much brighter!
Although we’ve spent a very long time indoors with the family, one thing that always offers a renewed sense of togetherness is creating great food with fabulous recipes and the warming smells that come with that. Keep the food crafting indoors or take it outside with different types of cinnamon, rum, banana combinations.

Mouth Watering Bananas Foster Recipe
Single serving iron skillet
1 Tbsp Butter
2 Tbsp Dark Brown Sugar
⅛ Tsp Vanilla
1 Tbsp Pecans chopped
Pinch of Cinnamon
1 Ripe Banana Sliced Lengthwise
2 Tbsp Dark, Spiced Rum
1 4oz Scoop Vanilla Ice Cream
Melt butter in iron skillet over medium heat, add brown sugar; stir until dissolved (about 2 min) & then stir in vanilla, pecans & cinnamon. Lay bananas in the skillet sauce to heat for 2 minutes then turn & heat 2 more minutes.
Turn heat off & add rum (mix with banana liqueur for extra banana bang)
Use a long match or lighter to set aflame just before serving. Allow the flame to extinguish naturally before enjoying & always take precautionary measures when working with a flambé dessert such as this!
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla bean or vanilla ice cream.
