3 Ways To Make Pumpkin Seeds

All the fun of carving pumpkins and decorating your front porch comes with something even better… a snack! Roasting pumpkin seeds has been a tradition in my family for years, but as I have gotten older I have steered away from the plain salty pumpkin seeds and spruced them up into pure deliciousness. Here are some different ways I have made them that you HAVE to try...

Cinnamon Sugar Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

In one bowl combine cinnamon and sugar, in another combine melted butter and vanilla. Coat your pumpkin seeds with your wet ingredients then add your cinnamon sugar. Shake around until every seed is completely coated. Spread on a baking sheet and bake at 300°F for 30-40 minutes.

Garlic Parmesan Pumpkin Seeds

In a ziplock bag add melted butter, parmesan, garlic powder and salt. Shake the bag vigorously until your pumpkin seeds are completely coated and bake at 300°F for 30-40 minutes.

Ranch Flavored Pumpkin Seeds

In a ziplock bag add pumpkin seeds, melted butter and a ranch flavoring packet. Shake the bag until everything is completely combined and coated, spread on a baking sheet and bake for about 40 minutes at 350°F.

Tip: Before roasting, rinse pumpkin seeds and let them dry COMPLETELY for the best results.

Tip: If they get soft after a day or two, simply reheat at 200°F for 5-10 minutes.

Pumpkin seeds are extremely nutritious and packed full of powerful antioxidants. Eating them can help solve dietary deficiencies and may protect against various health problems. They have actually been shown to improve heart health, blood sugar levels, fertility and sleep quality. Also, their iron nutrient content may provide other health benefits like improved energy, mood and immune function.
