Help & Frequently Asked Questions

Can I call my order into Candleberry?

You may call (502) 223-2799 to place an order, however, orders placed from the web site are processed first.

Do your wicks contain lead?

No, our wicks have a zink core, which makes our candles safe to burn and results in less smoke than an all paper wick.

How long will a Candleberry Candle keep its scent?

From beginning to end. Some candles are scented mainly at the top, so that when you remove the lid for the first time a strong scent is released. Such a candle will lose its scent as it burns down. Candleberry candle fragrances are released evenly throughout the burn.

How can I keep my jar from turning black on the inside of the jar?

We recommend that you always trim the wick before re-lighting, as this will greatly reduce smoke.

Why does my candle tend to burn only in the center or burn a hole?

If the candle is good quality wax, fragrance, and the correct wick matched, the likely reason is that you extinguish it too quickly after lighting. For Candleberry Candles, in each burn allow the wax to liquify to the sides of the jar before extinguishing, which may take up to two hours. But never leave a candle unattended!

How do I avoid making the candle smoke when I extinguish it?

Using a spoon or other metal object, tilt the wick into the melted wax then raise the wick back up. No smoke!

Why does the wax in my Candleberry candle release from the sides of the jar?

Candleberry fills the wax to the maximum with fragrance. The more spots the better! This reflects a heavy concentration of fragrance and the fact that they are hand-poured.

How can I find a store in my area that carries Candleberry Candles.

We plan to have this feature on our web site in the future but for now we will gladly help you find a store if you would like to call us at (502) 223-2799.

How long will it take to ship my order?

If the products are in stock, your shipment will most likely go out the same or next business day. If your product is backordered, we will attempt to contact you about the shipping. The one exception is during summer months when we may have to delay shipping due to heat.

Why do some candles have a rough look and others a smooth look?

Rough candles can mean quickly made candles or it can mean a specific kind of wax. If the candle is in a jar and it has a rough surface, it is most likely a dense wax and/or a high melt point. Parrafins with a high melt point require wicks that create more combustion and sometimes more smoke. Therefore, a smooth surface jar candle is a better choice.
